2018 is a new year, with new goals and new efforts!
InstantSpeedMTG is being reorganized as a part of InstantSpeedLive, as viewed at twitch.tv/instantspeedlive! Also, thanks to a fun lapse in memory on our part, instantspeedmtg.com has lapsed and we are back to a blogspot address until further notice, but if you are reading this message, you may have already figured that out.
Exciting growth has come to InstantSpeedLive streaming content! We have announced a tentative schedule including Thursday night MTG streams, with occasional Monday Arena action.
InstantSpeed Retro will be a Saturday night stream for retro rpg's and nostalgic gaming. We are live with industry standard tools and equipment, a fresh new look, and of course, a witty host.
The biggest development in InstantSpeedMTG is the adoption of 3DH as our home and native format. 3DH is a form of budget form Commander, as played on MTGO. Love for EDH has kept us quite busy for a couple years, collecting cards and chasing league championships. We have found a format that gives us access to the full power of Magic across it's whole life, is accessible to all across the world, and does it all without costing more than a $3.00 investment on a budget deck of digital cards. We have the desire to use our platform to champion Magic and it's digital forms, and we believe 3DH will represent one of the finest and most accessible experiences to offer. We will be posting more commentary and analysis on 3DH as a format in the coming months, as we become more immersed.
With that in mind, we are adding a Thursday night stream to the schedule, likely a late evening/late night show of 3DH players in the community facing off after the Head streamers of the community, Jeremy Noell and PraetorMagic (and others). Visitors at twitch.tv/instantspeedlive will often be treated to the weeks antics of the 3DH community, as we will be hosting 3DH channels exclusively.
